Applications of Vibrating Rod Level Switches and Radar Level Meters in a Thermal Power Plant
Project overview:
A renovation project in a thermal power plant in Shandong was to regularly discharge slag and furnace ash in the thermal power boiler system to ensure its working efficiency. Level meters were needed during the process to detect and control the level of slag and furnace ash. The comparison between heavy hammer material level meter and RF Admittance Level Switch shows that the problem of buried hammer often happens if heavy hammer level meter is used and false alarm or probe being bent often happens because of material buildup if RF Admittance Level Switch is used. 1. Rada-22 High Frequency Pulse Radar Level Meter
Rada-22 is made of high quality modules from Siemens and with a false echo suppression function to eliminate fixed disturbance. LUI display makes trouble diagnosis easier. It is with multiple echo processing algorithms which are programmable for a variety of complicated conditions.
2. Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switch
Tube-11 is the first made-in-China Vibrating Rod Level Switch that is designed with double vibration tubes. It has high sensitivity, can effectively prevent material buildup and avoid false alarm. The minimum measurable density can be as low as 0.02g/cm³, suitable for a majority of granular solids. For high temperature applications, the process temperature can be up to 400℃. It can be used for either DC or AC conditions. It is easy to install and no calibration is required.
