Successful Application of Jiwei Vibrating Level Switch in PVDF Solid-Liquid Interface Measurement

Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a highly inert thermoplastic fluoropolymer produced from vinylidene difluoride polymerization. It can be a homopolymer or copolymerized with other fluorine-containing vinyl monomers. Achieving high-purity PVDF products typically involves multiple washings. Due to its specific properties, including a density close to water, PVDF monomers are suspended as droplets in deionized water under stirring and dispersant action, presenting challenging conditions for level detection that many standard level switches struggle to handle.

Currently, all Jiwei Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switches operate reliably on PVDF production lines without encountering false alarms

Jiwei’s Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switch, the first Made-in-China design featuring dual vibration tubes, has successfully addressed the industrial difficulty of PVDF level detection.

The Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switch is characterized by its high sensitivity and reliability, achieved through precise adjustment of the resonant vibrating frequency of the rod. It can detect medium densities as low as 0.02 g/cm³, making it suitable for various granular bulk solids, water sediments, and floating objects.

Despite the viscosity of the measured medium and the presence of floating PVDF monomers in water, the specially tuned Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switch distinguishes itself by avoiding false alarms when immersed in water. It triggers an alarm signal only upon contact with PVDF monomers.

Currently, all Jiwei Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switches operate reliably on PVDF production lines without encountering false alarms. The successful deployment of the Tube-11 in PVDF interface measurement has significantly enhanced automation in PVDF medium interface measurement and improved factory production efficiency.
