Different from water, alcohol and beverages, glues have poor fluidity, so the level measurement has always been a difficult problem in the field.

Measurement difficulties of glue

The viscosity of water at 27 ℃ is 1cps, but the viscosity of glues is generally greater than 300cps, and even higher than 10000 cps.

Generally, the viscosity decreases with temperature rising. On the contrary, the viscosity rises when temperature decreases. Floating level indicator, float level gauge, RF admittance liquid level switch and photoelectric switch are not applicable in glue level measurement. The reasons and difficulties are as following:

1.Easy to hang-up, resulting in false alarm;

2. Need to clean the probe frequently in time, or the glue can be harder and stuck on the probe;

3. Some glues are flammable and explosive, so the sensors are required to have explosion-proof approvals.

To convince the clients, Jiwei brought samples to test the glue level on site. To further test the performance of Ring-11 liquid level switch, the clients purchased one and tested it for a period. After several months of test trials, the good performance of Ring-11 won high praise from the clients.

Advantages of Ring-11 liquid level switch

Because of the viscosity, most liquid level sensors cannot meet the measuring requirements. But why is Ring-11 able to measure?

1. Ring-11 liquid level switch is a highly reliable control switch specially used for liquid level measurement. Based on the fork resonant principle, when a fork vibrates in harmonic resonance and comes in contact with measured liquid, its vibrating frequency will greatly decrease. The tines’ harmonic resonant frequency (about 1200Hz) has been precisely pre-adjusted to achieve high sensitivity so the lowest measurable density can be as low as 0.5g/cm³.

2. Ring-11 realizes liquid level detection based on the vibration principle of cantilever. Because there are no mechanical moving spares, so it is maintenance free and has a longer service life.

3. Compared with other domestic brands, the tines of Ring-11 can reach full resonance state after being precisely tuned, and has strong anti-hanging features. The measurable medium viscosity range is 0.1 ~ 10000 cps.

4. Ring-11 is developed in strict accordance with IEC61508 standard and with SIL2/SIL3 Functional Safety Assessment Certification as well as certified for both Intrinsic Safety (Ex ia IIC T6~T1 Ga) and Flameproof Enclosure (Ex d IIC T6~T1 Gb) explosion protection.
